2012 Schedule Announced!

We have over 25 performers and over 70 performances planned for 2012! Several new performers are on tap for this year's First Night event including Young Elvis, Undercover, Out of the Fire, Keith West's Magic Show, and Double Play Flute & Tuba. For all the performers and locations use the "Schedule of Events" tab on the left side of this page.

First Night 2012 is currently working with Natalie Linstrom on a new children's event called "Hats of Many Faces", a hat making project. This project will be done with in the Council Bluffs School District and the night of the event. More information on the project will be coming shortly so stay tuned!!!

2012 First Night Button Design Unveiled!

First Night is excited to announce the button design winner for the 2012 event which is themed "A Night to Remember." This year's button design comes from one of the metro area artists, Jerri Hansen.
Her design will be used to create buttons that will serve as tickets of admission for participants in the fifth Annual First Night Council Bluffs activities, which will take December 31, 2011.

"With this year's theme of "A Night to Remember" we felt Jerri Hansen's button captured the excitement and entertainment that happens every year at our event," said First Night Co-Chair Inky Westfall. "Jerri is a wonderful artist and we are excited to choose her artwork for this year's button design."
"The button design is integral to the development of First Night," said Co-Chair Geoff Hubbard. "It becomes the brand everyone associates with the event, and has a tremendous amount of visibility."

First Night 2012 will be "A Night to Remember"

After a month of online voting on our website and on our Facebook posts we are excited to announce the 2012 theme of "A Night to Remember!" It is time now to create a button design for our new theme. If you know any talented artists please click on the button link on the left to get specifications and learn how to submit your artwork for the 2012 button which will be used for your admission to the event. The deadline to submit your button design will be June 15th. Thanks for all of you who voted for this year's theme!

We had a wonderful and memorable time performing at the First Baptist Fellowship Hall on New Years Eve. Thank you very much for having us! The bottom line is--nothing could have been improved upon. We were treated very nicely and each person we talked to was friendly and very helpful. Also--we thought the Honey Creek Jazz band was a good band to share the stage with. We felt the two groups complimented each other very nicely, and we enjoyed meeting them and listening to their music. Thanks again, Bob and Kristie Black
